The executive session (closed to non-Directors) is scheduled for 2 – 3:30 PM, to be followed by the regular session (open to owners) at 3:30 PM. Ilikai owners are invited and encouraged to attend and participate. There are lots of important things happening that will affect the Ilikai and its future and our property values. The article gives some more details on the plans there, including plans for “an exclusive Crazybox nightclub, as well as a full-service spa, outdoor movie theater and ballroom.”

Sunday, June 20th, 2010The next meeting of the Ala Wai Harbor Community Association (AWHCA) is scheduled for July 7, 2010, at the Hawaii Yacht Club. Please mark your calendar. These meetings bring together various people and groups one way or another related to the Ala Wai Harbor to network and tackle various issues, be it the Ala Wai Harbor, Hilton plans or whatever. They are organized by community members who have done so much for our area. Consider getting involved!

Upcoming community meeting on May 4, 2010 – be there!
Sunday, May 2nd, 2010The ocean users’ community will hold a meeting on Tuesday, May 4, 2010. The meeting will take place at 6:30 PM at the Hawaii Yacht Club. Click on the link to view the Notice re this Ala Wai Harbor meeting on May 4, 2010. The meeting organizers expressly extended this invitation to folks from the Ilikai and Ilikai Marina.
The meeting agenda will include updates and discussion regarding plans to redevelop certain areas of the Ala Wai Harbor and plans of the Hilton Hawaiian Village to build two additional towers, among other things. These developments could have implications for the Ilikai. Try to attend this May 4, 2010 meeting. It is our opportunity to network with other active members of the community and coordinate and join efforts. Be there!

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010A company named Honey Bee USA, Inc. is proposing to redevelop certain areas of the Ala Wai Harbor. It is a so-called “Waikiki Landing” proposed development.

IMPORTANT ACTIONABLE ITEMS: (1) The public can and is invited and encouraged to submit comments regarding this proposed development and the corresponding Draft Environment Assessment. The due date for comments is May 23, 2010. Click on the link to view the Notice how the public can submit comments regarding the proposed “Waikiki Landing” development, – the specifics how to comment re the “Waikiki Landing” project are on PAGE 3 of that document. As said, the deadline is May 23, 2010.
