Neal,
Thank you for sharing your objective viewpoint about our responsiveness. Unfortunately, external issues can take a backseat when property is under reorganization and redevelopment as we are. The Ilikai board president has proposed that off property issues get attention.

"Better late than never" testimony doesn't work for a Draft Enviornmental Assessment. Decisive testimony shows to be worthless when submitted after fter the deadline.

To my understanding we are not able to protect our private views over the ocean since we were severed from our beaches. This occured when the lagoon was built and harbor. Consequently, the State harbor land in front of us has rights to view the ocean.

The battle against development lies more in property use, government orders, compatibility and and protected views that are in the park and Ala Wai bridge. The Ala Wai floodway could require setbacks. There full picture is unknown.

Hi Olga, thanks for this post. Hard to believe that there are no comments regarding this project when it is going to be 3 stories and block the ocean view of many of the Ilikai's visitors. In my opinion this structure should be no more than a single story.
