I am off an age when I remember the first series & my kids have bought me the DVD box sets of them. I came to Oahu & stayed at the Iilaki last year for 2 weeks and loved it. Have looked at the clips on youtube of the new series and it looks great! So glad they kept in the Iilaki clips & some of the orginal footage. Lets hope it brings a new generations to Oahu & Hawaii as it is such a beautiful place! I hope they would do a guest appearance of James McArthur that would be fun!

Don’t know about Alex or any of the actors, but the fact that the remake of Hawaii 50 includes the Ilikai again, should attract badly needed positive attention the Ilikai’s way.
